Stockholm - The People have voted in a landslide majority to hold the Second Annual Strathyclyde Wargames. Below are the official Rules that were stated in a communique to Europa:
100,000 Troops, 1,000 Tanks and 500 Aircraft limit for each Nation involved. Navies unlimited.
Any conventional Weapon may be used to simulate actual National Army Advantages on the Modern Battlefield.
For the sake of fun, we’ll assume any weapon in the match will be able to be outfitted with the MOUT Laser System, or MOuntain and Urban Training System.
Last man standing rules. Army that is left standing or leaves all other armies incapable of mounting an effective resistance, wins. Pretty Simple.
Here’s the kicker: 12.5 Million Euro Cash prive to the Winning Government. Thats right. Cash prize baby.

US Special Airborne Services Trains for Wargames
Stockholm - The US army Special Airborne Service, the ONI Renamed special forces unit trains for its upcoming important role in the Wargames to be hosted in the US. Several hundred onlookers demonstrated thier brave soldiers preparing to defend thier preivous Trophy.
Rekamgil forces regretfully cannot attend this year’s wargames. Although we were gratified by last year’s exercises, our military is currently in a period of restructure and many of our regiments are stood-down and enjoying some well-deserved R&R. We will certainly attend next year. Again, we regret this necessity and assure the US that this is a purely internal decision and has nothing to do with our relations with any other nation.

Stockholm - The US Army announced for an Operational Combat Upgrade to the Second Phase R75 Abrams Tank, in order to keep it somewhat competitive, despite being majorly outclassed by the ‘Rhino’ killer R80 Main Battle Tank. the Relaese of the 80 has sparked a national debate, as to wether or not to retire the tank, or to pour millions of Kronas into replacing outdated components to keep it a competitior on the battlefield.
Among the new systems on the tank would be the new Milimeter waveguide seeker, and an upgrade to the Rocket Assisted SABOT Rounds, similar to that seen on the ‘Rhino’ Killer Viper R80 tank. Most of the other upgrades are still classified.

While not enough to be notcied, or to really affect either nation, it just shows that The Sublime Principate can tighten its grip, but the more it does so, the more its people will see the error in thier ways, and embrace the Anarchic Tension that is sweeping the region.

We are unsure why US is all of a sudden rising up and denouncing every nation with which they come into contact. Relations between US and Akiiryu have never been particularly smooth, but US’ public and frequent denouncements have only escalated tensions.
We must say that we are more inclined to feel this way given that our peaceful and humanitarian actions of late have come under US attack as being imperialistic. These are completely baseless accusations and our government would like these recent statements retracted. Your people might recall that it was their own former government that bombed civilians in Dacvi, not our troops. Our troops have suffered long and hard in Dacvi in an attempt to save civilian lives… your nation can see imperialism if it likes, but we are unsure what kind of imperialism we are supposed to have conducted. Is it the kind where you have no economic or territorial ambitions and where your youth sacrifices itself to help save lives? In Rekamgil we call that “humanitarian aid”; your people can call it what they wish, but you will never change our peaceful intentions; ever.
