I will send Colonel O’Reilly. He’s a special ops-officer and he will coordinate the small amount of help we can provide.

We shall send Marine Captain Xenai to the location you proposed.

To Deltannian Loyalists

From Admiral Devorak

I will come myself.

OOC: Since you all replied, I’ll just go ahead. I didn’t really mean “48” hours…

Admiral Grey walked across the catwalk, and they saw him from inside the room. He looked in through the glass and they stared back at him. When he opened the door, they saw him with his uniform as clean as possible, but there were some charred parts, dirt here and there. Several marines entered with him and closed the door.

“Good afternoon, Captain Xenai, Colonel O’Reilly, Admiral Devorak, it’s nice to finally meet you all in person, thank you and your guards for coming. I’m sorry I’m not as presentable as I should be, but there were some attacks on the way here. I know originally you all wanted to give aid to Deltannia on the attacks of two of our ships. We know now that a SysTech tri-missile hit at least the Victory, possibly the Hathaneus. We believe the Nationalists planned this attack and blamed us. They could not, however, done all of this on their own, and we believe outside sources. But, for now, if we retake Deltannia, we can end the threat growing from our beloved land…”

Admiral Devorak nodded. ‘The Federation’s 3rd Grand Fleet is ready to support you, and our Intelligence Ministry has put together a few surprises which they are flying out to my flagship as we speak.’

‘As you all know, there was recent turmoil in the Federation over the Uprising in the capital. As we are committed to this cause, it might be a good idea to inform you that General Ling Cao may not be Supreme Commander for much longer. He is no longer in favour with the regional commanders. I can assure you however, that no matter what happens, Karthenia will still be comitted to this operation.’

OOC: I may RP this little Coup d’etat, but either way, i’m bored of the current bossman, so i’ll get me a new one. The name Valiani ring any bells?

Admiral Grey had a smile on his face. “Good, I’m glad we can trust you as an ally, no matter the outcome,” he said. “Even with just your support, we can at least blockade the Deltannian shores. But, we’ll still need a large strike force by ground. We can provide a few of our famous gunboats to travel up the rivers, but without land support, this could take months, even years. Either way,” he said, and looked at the other three officers in the room. “May this be the start of a great alliance.”

OOC: You should, it’d be fun. Also, I know you guys are allied, don’t take any offense to that line.

Colonel O’Reilly:

"As you know, Tamurin cannot offer any armed forces. Our way is the neutrality unless it’s absolutely necessary to interfere.

However, we can supply your fleet with fuel, food, medical supplies and all other non-military equipment you need. We can’t supply you with weapons or ammunition, but we can transport weapons and ammunition from other sources to you.

For this purpose, the tamurinian navy offers a couple of cargo ships. They’ll sail under a foreign banner and can’t be traced back to us.

For now, this is the only help I can offer."

OOC: just as an aside, Tamurin, did I kill/torture/maim any of your citizens during the Civil War?

OOC: No, you didn’t…disappointed??

OOC: Where is Deltannia?

OOC: @Tamurin: a little, yeah. But at east i don’t have to apologise for it…not that i’ve aplogised for any of my crimes…

OOC: Where is it? I originially wanted that western island, but since that was taken, I’m pushing to get it placed in the extreme north, I think it’s either 50 or 49… Yeah, since it hasn’t been placed yet, I don’t want to mention any definitive places…

“Colonel O’Reilly, I thank you for the offer, and I understand and respect your neutrality in the situation. You may offer whatever supplies you deem sendable, and we’d appreciate the food, medicine, and fuel. And I am glad that you offer the cargo ships, it seems as if we’ve lost quite a few…”

“Senator, we have reports that the rebels are meeting with other nations on a netural abandoned oil rig. They are plotting against us.”

“Well then, General, we’ll need to prepare for war, then, won’t we…”

OOC: Just interested, because I was following, but was getting abit confused over where it was.

Breaking News

The cargo ship Thurman J. Landers was torpeoed 30 miles from the port city of Bana. The ship is owned by the Automobile Company Impero Clavis’s largest Automobile company. Reports say that the ship was hit by a torpedo fired from a submarine though this is not verified because there was no survivors among the 30 crew. The owner of the Impero Motor Company David Silverstone said in a press release that he was sorry for the family and friends of the victims of this act of war.

The goverment will make a speach about this attack on a civilan ship saying that the people responsible will be hunted down and punished to the fullest extent of the law.

*Aboard the DNS Lance…*

“Admiral, news reports from Clavis, a cargo ship was torpedoed.”

“Really? What did sensors pick up?”

“Some kind of ship, we’re too far away, and the closest one of our ships was too far away to get an accurate reading. But, satellites picked up no surface movement, it must have been a sub.”

“Commander, send Clavis our condolences, and se if they need any aid, we’ll send what we can.”

“Ma’am, shouldn’t we alert Admiral Grey?”

"Admiral Grey is in the middle of a meeting to secure the future of Deltannia. We’ll do this on our own.

TO: Clavis

FROM: Deltannia Loyalists

We have received word of the attack on your civilian cargo ship. We send our condolences to the lives lost and will offer as much assistance as we can. We are transmitting all sensor logs of the area during the time of the attack, we read a submarine and are currently trying to track it. All of our ships in the area will help in this investigation. We’ll get what help we can.

“Captain, shouldn’t we change course, we’re should get there ASAP.”

“Lieutenant, now that Clavis has broadcasted this attack, no doubt the rebels and the other countries will start by monitoring. If we stay on a direct or straight course, they’ll no doubt find us. This course will be fine for now. Call me when we reach the next target.”

FROM: Deltannia Loyalists

Opening message…

“My old friend, I’ll have to be brief. As you must know, we’ve been attacked and Deltannia’s under a veil. We’ve done each other a few favors in the past, and you owe me one. If you can bring ships here, we’ll need them. And we’ll need men for shore landing and land attack. i’ll send another message when I can.”

“Commander Storm, if you have a few mercenary shis in the region of Clavis, we’ll need their reinforcement. Listen to the news, although you probably have already.”

Admiral Shore

OOC: By sensors, I’m just assuming a combination of radar, military satellite tracking, GPS, some buoys, etc, with a little extra. Just lack of a better all-encompossing term. It’s not like Star Trek sensors or anything. Also, Clavis, don’t know where you are, since you nor I haven’t been placed, so I did my best.

ooc: Ooh, RP…

Captain Xenai: We have 6,000 marines at our disposal. These are some of the most elite light infantry in Ide Jiman service, with our troops we could launch a Blitzkrieg styled attack on the Nationalist held coast, Heavier forces under command of Marshal Jiangwei are being flown out from Moratau. Do we have the consent of Admiral Grey to use these tactics? We can assure you that civilian targets will not be fired upon.

“This is admiral Franklin Howard III of CNA (Clavis’s Navy). I’m abord the Battleship Kestrel right now and we are looking for the ship that sunk the Thurman J. Landers with a loss of all hands aboard. We support the help of other nations looking for the criminals that did this because firing on civilian targets is illigal and wrong. We didn’t find anything relating to who or why a nation sunk a civilian ship for no reason.”

Later the same day president Harling and the leaders of the two rival political parties Kelvin Tyler Maxwell of the Conservative party of Clavis and Patricia Jane Lowry of the Clavis Communist Party agreed to a deal that friendly nations were allowed to use our ports until we apprehend the nation that sunk the Thurman J. Landers.

Wasn’t me.

"Captain Xenai, what we need MOST is a blitzkrieg assault, right up the beach heads. Now , with the supplies from Tamurin, and the additional support from Karthenia, we can topple the Nationalists. Here’s my suggested plan: Our ships will begin by sieging the beaches and coastal fortifications. We know the location of every missile battery, cannon, etc., and even if they moved some extra ones in, we can disrupt enough of their firepower to land an assault. With 6000 Ide Jiman marines, one regiment of our marines (2000 men), and however many naval officers we can scrape together, we can take the shore.

"I have received word that Commander Storm’s mercenaries will be assisting us, and we can expect 4000 men and additional reinforcement as his units are pulled together. After the coast, we should be able pace quickly through the country. Hopefully, the population will turn in our favor. Either way, our riverboats will ride up the rivers, and knockout the heaviest of stations and as much as they can for troops to enter. We need to outmaneuver and move faster than Deltannia’s army can, and that will be difficult.

“Assemble your men. We need to move. We believe that they have begun unrestricted warfare…”

TO: Clavis

FROM: Deltanna Loyalists

We believe that the Deltannian Nationalists have begun unrestricted warfare. We can assume that they know of our meeting and know that an entire strike force will engage them. We are now tracking a submarine we believe to belong to the Nationalists. We are sending all data we have now. Several of our ships are ready to help out, but they’ll need resupply at your ports.

TO: Admiral Grey

FROM: Commander Storm, Mercenary Unit

An update: We should have an additional 2000 men ready by the time you are. Several ships are also preparing to aid Clavis. One of our submarines is tracking the submarine that left the scene of the Thurman J. Landers

Devorak put down the phone. ‘I have just been informed that I have full authorisation to deploy all the marines in the 3rd Grand Fleet in this endeavour, 7000 soldiers. They will be deployed where you require them.’

Devorak saw the Tamurinian delegate raise his eyebrow. ‘And we can assure you that our men will act with integrity and discretion. There will be no…incidents.’
